As our name suggests we specialise in treating back pain, and it’s just as well as research indicates back pain affect up to 85% of the population at some point in their lives and is also a major cause of disability and time lost from work.
Our experience in treating back pain has taught us the importance of getting to the underlying cause of the back pain. It is one thing identifying what the painful structure causing the pain is ie. disc, joint, muscle etc. but to help prevent the pain reoccurring and ensuring a successful rehab it is important to understand what caused the pain to begin with.
What can you expect from treatment?
As always we start the session by listening as you talk us through what problems you are experiencing and how it is affecting you. This will help us identify where your pain is coming from and what caused the pain in the first place.
We will then go through a detailed assessment looking to see how your back is moving, where the limitations are and again what is causing the pain. Typically, then once we explain our findings, you can expect hands on treatment and guided exercise to start you on your road to recovery as well as a personalised home exercise programme.
We use an evidence based “hands on” approach to treatment combined with the latest technology to provide fast, effective results.
